Technical
Data
This section gives a brief overview of skylight technical information. If you require more detailed information please contact us by e-mail or phone. A complete catalog showing most of the common details (curbs, sills, jambs, et.) for layout and design of all our skylight systems is available on hard copy or CD disk in AutoCad format. Materials | Quality Control | Loading | Prefabricated Aluminum sections are 6063 T5 alloy and temper. Gaskets, where required, are santaprene or neoprene. All skylight-related fasteners are stainless steel. Throughout the manufacturing process, each component is critically and consistently evaluated for any defects and measured against rigid quality standards. A load chart for a 2" pressure system rafter is shown below as an example. We can provide loading charts for all our extrusions on request. Load Chart - 2" Pressure Plate Rafter We recognize the cost-saving potential associated with pre-assembled skylight units. With Spectrum's prefabricated units, everything is prepared and assembled in factory controlled conditions where the weather is not a factor. Tools and saws are readily available, many joints can be welded, drilled and punched in a fraction of the time it would take on-site. All you have to do is pick up the finished skylight unit at our facility, lift it onto the roof as a one or two piece unit, insert the glass, and your job is done. You will save hours of ineffecient on-site labour.
We build, crate, and ship our units in a ready-to-assemble form anywhere in North America. |
