These are the simplest and most economical of all out skylight systems. They incorporate a single plane design. (Pre-fabricated or knock-down packages are available on request.

The ridge skylight is a variation of the curb-mounted (lean-to) units, but has a two-plane design.

Double-pitched units include a ridge support, intermediate supports for lateral loading, and gable ends if required. For smaller sizes, the skylight unit may be transported as one welded drop-on type assembly, or as a knock-down package, ready for on-site glazing.

Pyramid skylights can be constructed as one welded assembly or a knock-down package. The size of the hip structural member will be determined by the size of the opening and the pitch desired.

Multifaceted skylight units are assembled with our low-profile pressure plate glazing bar, which is designed to allow for the plane changes of this design. The structural members are welded together to provide a one-piece drop-on assembly.

Hip ridge skylights are supplied with a support structure, or can be supplied as a knock-down package ready to be installed on a structural member by others.

Note: This design is commonly used over pool areas where the contractor provides a steel substructure at perimeter.

Aluminum rafters are welded and fitted to provide a pleasing barrel vault design. The framework is pre-fabricated in our shop and shipped to the site where the glazing is installed.

Curved barrel vault skylights are constructed with single or double glazed acrylic or lexan (polycarbonate). They are generally ordered as a pre-fabricated, pre-glazed unit and shipped to the site as a drop-on style skylight. However, site-assembled units are available on request.
